On my way

Time for some holiday

Christmas Time

It's been such a beautiful Christmas this year! Even though there was no snow for the first time in many years! I have had a wonderful time with my family and loved every single moment of it. It has just been super relaxing and cosy. And I had so much fun with my little nephews, seeing how excited and happy they were for everything that was going on. I'm very grateful for having had such a great Christmas celebration.

My sweet escape

Private Island

This photo is from our first day arriving in the amazing Lofoten. These are the very first mountains that greated us, while on the ferry over to our dream holiday.
How I miss this place.
Looking through all the photos I took on the trip, has been taking a lot of time. But I feel that it helps to sometimes take a pause from all the material I have and then a couple of weeks later I look at all the pictures with a fresh mind and have new ideas on how to edit and display them.
So more of this will be coming up on the blog and on the website.

This week I am working on the photos I took this weekend. I was in the south of Norway and have some very wildlife themed pictures to show you.

Copenhagen snapshots

I spent last weekend in Copenhagen, for the christening of my little nephew. This is such a great city and I love all the art galleries, furniture shops and beautiful designer boutiques that they have here. What I enjoy the most is just observing all these great places and getting inspiration from all the cool designs that are on display. (Although I would enjoy to bring back home a couple of pieces, or a dozen!)  Especially now that our new flat is all decked out in stylish and fresh scandinavian designs, I felt that every piece of furniture, lamps and decorations in these Danish shops would be perfect additions to our home. Unfortunately our suitcases prevented us from bringing back any of these treasures. We only had space for a few Christmas decorations this time. Also the architecture and the parks here are beautiful. It´s so enjoyable to go for walks in this city. As you can see in the pictures above, I really liked the botanical gardens in Kongen's Have. I can´t wait to back in Spring and see it all as it starts to blossom.
My sister and her husband have the coolest flat in the centre of Copenhagen, which also acts as a showroom and I always find their home so inspiring. A few of the photos above are from their super chic place.

All photos were taken with my good old iPhone.

As It Gets Darker

Black and white memories from this summer

The Golden Days

Even though autumn is coming to an end and the leaves keep falling off the trees as well as the hours of daylight get shorter and shorter for each day, we still are lucky enough to have some beautiful and sunny days left, before winter takes over.
We recently bought a new car and have been on little escapades every weekend on the nearby forest roads. As you know, I have a very serious car obsession and for some reason I always spot these unique beauties when I go on my roadtrips. This time I was overjoyed to discover to amazing Porsches taking a rest on the side of the road, looking out on the sunlight woods. There nothing I like better than to photograph cars out in nature, I just love the contrast between these powerful machines and those trees basking in the golden light.
I've been leaving some subtle hints on Facebook and Instagram about this new photo project that I've finally gotten the opportunity to start on. It's an idea I've had for a long time and I'm very excited about it. And of course it involves cars.
I'll give you a more detailed description very soon!

The Best Kind Of Quiet

My favourite places are usually by the water.
And exploring abandoned places are always so fascinating, I'm intrigued by all the memories that still lie around in the air and I always feel like I'm an intruder, disturbing a place that has fallen asleep many years ago and that is slowly starting to stir, awakened by my unwanted and curious presence.

All photos are taken in the South of Norway.
