There's Something About This City

There really is something special about being in Paris.
Each time I'm here I'm just blown away by the beauty of it all. Paris is unique in that way. The atmosphere in the city always makes me feel like I've just fallen in love. I'm constantly walking around like in a dream and admiring everything I walk by. Paris is also such a photogenic city, everything you photograph just looks great and it's easy to recreate that dreamy feeling I feel inside me.
Here are some of my favourite photos, taken in Montmartre and along the banks of La Seine. The one I like the best is the photo of the old men, contemplating the image of the three lamas. I took that photo while sitting in a taxi actually. And I really like how surreal it looks, the reflection of the buildings, the two charming men in matching outfits and those three little lamas - it all comes together quite nicely, in a strange way.

The Paris Diaries 2013 - First Day

These past days I've been reminiscing over our amazing trip to Paris during this easter.
Now that my computer is finally working again, I've been looking through all the photos I took and I created a little photo diary with pictures taken with both my iPhone and my Olympus camera.
The upcoming days I'll be updating the blog on a regular basis, which I feel I've neglected for way too long.
So get ready for an overdose of parisian photography!

These photos are from our very first day in my favourite city.
We stayed at the spa hotel St James et Albany, located in from of the pretty gardens Jardins des Tuileries, right by the Louvre and a quick walk away from the Eiffel Tower. The days always started with an elegant breakfast and then we set off to explore our surroundings and have lunch and coffee breaks at typical little french bistros. When I'm in Paris, I always dream of living in one of the large apartments with a view of the Eiffel Tower. And just live the life of an artist, taking photos all day and wandering in the streets, admiring the people and getting inspired by my surroundings. Yes, Paris always turns me into a dreamer.

More photos coming up tomorrow!

Leaving for Paris

In only a couple of days I'm going back to Paris! I love that city!
Thought I would take a trip down memory lane and look through some of the photos I took the last time I was there:

Goodbye Norwegian Winter

My computer crashed a few days ago. So my workflow has been severely reduced. Luckily I save all my photos and important files on external discs, but I totally depend on that computer when it comes to working with photography.
No lightroom, no photoshop, no way to convert the Raw images, maybe I should go back to working in the darkroom. Hopefully it won't take too long before this is fixed, in the meantime I've found some photos of this year's cold and dark norwegian winter. Now that spring is on its way, I thought this would be a good way to say farewell to this beautiful winter season.

A note from Le Photograph

This blog has always been more about the photos than about the photographer.
Though in a way, all the photos I post here represent me and my life at the moment, but if I ever write more than a couple of words to accompany the images, I feel I always write about time going by too fast and not having enough time to take all the photos I would like. Or I write about how much I regret not posting stuff here on a more regular basis.

Well life is still hectic as always, but life is also very exciting.
2013 started with me and my boyfriend buying an apartment together. We both fell for the place the moment we saw it. It's so unique and very pretty inside. And I feel so lucky that we got it!
We are moving in the 1st of March, so I'm currently counting down the days and packing away my belongings in cardboard boxes. I can't wait to post pictures from this new place, it's so exciting to pick out furniture and I can't wait to start decorating the place.
But I'm also a little sad about leaving my cute little apartment, which has also served as a great photostudio.
But this new place is really amazing and I'm so excited about creating a new home there, exploring the streets and the surroundings and just getting fresh inspiration.

Life is a movie

Working with my muse Miriam.

For this shoot I was inspired by Paris, filmstars with broken hearts and classic glamour.
Thank you Miriam for always being so great to shoot with!

And I love to work with the light in my apartment, it has been such an inspiring place to have photoshoots. Since I'll be moving in a couple of months, I'm going to try to make the most out of this apartment and take as many photos as possible before I leave.
Therefore I'm on the lookout for models and other fun people to take photos of!
Don't hesitate to get in touch and let me take a photo of you!
