Insanity

Went out to take pictures today of this creepy building, it's an old abandoned mental hospital, which lies outside of Oslo. Were so many interesting and great photo opportunities here. Such a strange place! It was closed many years ago, but there are still traces from the people who where patients there. But definitly not the place I would venture out to after dark.

Dedication

These pictures were part of a compositon task we had at school this week. Yet, another picture of me "sleeping"! These last weeks have been crazy, I have no time for anything, but to take pictures. We constantly have work to do, in all the different classes. So when I'm not at school, I'm out taking photos or testing out different lighting effects in the studio. And I also try to continue to take pictures on the side, for fun and for myself, where I have no need to complete a specific task. So sleeping and taking pictures are kind of the main ingredients in my life right now! But I'm really enjoying it and wouldn't have it anyother way for the moment.
As always I get tons of inspiration from looking at the amazing pictures that are posted on your sites! Gives me many ideas for future projects :)

In the depth of winter

We had our first assignment at school, and here are my results. We had to portray winter and how it affects us. It took some time for me to find inspiration for this, since I've already taken so many winterpics the last months, but then I decided to stop over-thinking it and just go out and try to stick to my style of pictures and take it from there. The teacher also gave me positive feedback on the pictures in class, which reassures me that I made the right choice in following my passion for photography. Only now I'm going to push myself even more to continue to produce good pictures! This week I'm going to take pictures in the studio for the first time as well. I'm looking forward to trying out different types of lighting and to recreate the light in lots of inspiring pictures I've seen on your blogs out there!

Je rĂªve

I'm back, new photos and new camera! And finally I now have lots of time to do what I like best; take pictures! And I've started the photography school, which is really exciting. Already gotten two assignments for next week, so have to get down working this weekend! Also I get so much inspiration from reading your blogs and looking at the pictures you post! Glad that there's so much creative energy out there, that I can feed on :) So far 2010 seems very promising!

Absence

Sorry for lack of posts lately. Have had tons of stuff to do, for a change :)

Got accepted at the photography school here in Oslo that I wanted to attend! So classes start in a week, can't wait!! And I'm currently working on editing all the footage from a fashion show I was asked to film earlier this week. Will probably post the video here, so you can see! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!
love C.

Shades of blue

I've literally been freezing my hands off trying to take pictures these past few days. It's so cold here now, I think the ice blue colours in these pictures show how freezing it is. But I just can't stay indoors at all times and once the sun is out, the light is really beautiful and it such a dream to take pictures.
I am now considering applying to a photography school. I really want to learn more as well as explore different types of photography and pursue what has always been a hobby of mine. Time will tell.. In the meantime, thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments! Always makes my day!

Frosted

Happy New Year to all!
I'm quite excited for what 2010 might bring. For the moment I have no idea what awaits me. I wonder if I will be able to follow a more creative career path, hopefully pursuing my passion for photography. Time will tell..

Seasons Greetings

Here are a few snapshots from the holiday season and the frozen winter landskape. I realise that I haven't posted anything for ages. Part of the reason is that the more I learn about photography the more critical I become of my work and the longer it takes to produce pictures I'm satisfied with. But my main goal is to create a peaceful and calm mood in every post and hope you enjoy the atmosphere in them. There are tons of snow here now, so I'm going to explore the winter wonderlands with my camera tomorrow. Wishing you all the best for the holidays and new years!
