Oh l'amour !

Paris, je t'aime!
I'm back home from an amazing trip to Paris. This is definitly the most beautiful city I've been to. It was such a joy to be able to be in France again and speak french. We tried to stay away from the over-crowed tourist places and rather wander about quiet and hidden little streets. This way we got to experience the real parisian life and atmosphere. It's been such a wonderful experience to explore and photograph this city. And I already miss it all so much ! Nothing is better than spending time here with your loved one and of course there were great photo opportunities waiting around each streetcorner! Camera in one hand and boyfriend in the other, I set out to capture the french way of life and document it all in my own way and style.
I've taken so many photos, so this blog will clearly be dominated by french culture in the days to come.

to be continued..

Roadtrips & Alpacas

On Saturday we decided to take another one of our spontaneous roadtrips. I was feeling the need to get away from the city and find some new photo subjects. We headed out in the heavy snowfalls, without any expectations of what we might discover this time. As you can see from the photos we drove by vast and deserted plains partly hidden in the fog and covered in snow. In the end we arrived upon a rather charming place with a little flock of alpacas. An animal that has always fascinated me, but that I've never encountered. (probably since the majority of these creatures live in South-America, and yes they are related to lamas.)  Needless to say, I've always wanted to see alpacas and here I finally got to meet some and photograph their funny expressions.

Photo below taken by the boyfriend, since I desperately wanted a photo of me and one of the alpacas:

Into The Wild

Nothing compares to escaping for a few days with him.

And it never seizes to amaze me, how much wonderful nature we encounter on our getaways. This time I was especially happy with seeing the deers, since we only spotted them in the car, on our way back home to civilisation. Luckily I got to jump out and take a few pictures of them, before they disapeared back into the forest again. Seeing so many of them at once, was the perfect ending to precious days out in the wilderness.
These kind of wonderful weekends go by too fast. I always wish there was a way to make them last just a little bit longer ..

Reinvention

Model: Benedicte

Finally finding the time to have shoots again, and as the days provide me with more light I get the opportunity to experiment and continue with new projects. Also starting up my own business now, so have to quite the amount of paperwork to go through. These are without a doubt very exciting times!

Those Times We Escape

Some moments are simply made to be frozen in time.

Just a great way to start this year- escaping for a few days, spending time with the best and being surrounded by breathtaking nature.
